Winter in Finland

Helsinki greeted me in mid-December with freezing temps and a snow-dusted city. I remember festive holiday lights, cardamom buns, and mulled wine. North of the Arctic Circle, I slept in a glass igloo at Kakslauttanen, made friends with local reindeer, and visited Santa in Rovaniemi — his official hometown.
